ZNova 1.2 Speeds Up!

ZNova is the core deconvolution engine included in ProMassXcali. With the release of ZNova 1.2, we have re-optimized the core charge-state scoring algorithm to improve performance in a dramatic fashion.

• In some applications, you can see as much as a 10-fold increase in speed vs. ZNova 1.1!
• Speed is improved where you need it most - when processing large mass ranges on noisy data sets. 
• On average, you can expect a 3 - 5-fold increase in algorithm speed along with the beneficial 3 - 5-fold reduction in processing time.  
• If you process narrow output mass ranges, you will see very little difference in performance.
• Here is information showing detailed benchmarks using the new ZNova algorithm version 1.2 vs. the previous release.  The data are reflected in the chart below.
